Why a magnet?
Bradley Nelson, who wrote The Emotion Code, mentions in passing that a pendulum works perfectly well for muscle testing, and then goes straight back to teaching muscle testing. Fair enough, it’s his book. But Rebecca has watched a great many beginners wrestle with the sway test like it was a stubborn potato, and in her experience a pendulum is the quicker way into the wisdom of the subconscious mind: less commitment, less second-guessing, more actual clearing.
The magnet is the second half of the trick. Once the pendulum has pointed at a trapped emotion, the very same tool releases it—no rummaging through the kitchen drawer for a fridge magnet while the moment flits off like a wayward butterfly.
How a clearing goes
- Ask. Let the pendulum hang still, get quiet, and ask the subconscious a yes-or-no question. Notice which way it swings for yes and which for no—that’s your persunal dialect.
- Find. Narrow it down through the Emotion Code chart—column, row, emotion—until the pendulum says “that one.” No judgment in Humun Design, and none here either: whatever turns up was only ever stuck, never wrong.
- Clear. Turn the pendulum over and let the magnet do the honors. The instructions in the box walk you through the pass, and it takes about as long as reading this sentence.
About that truth window
Every Jolly Alchemy pendulum has a small window on the back so you can see the magnet for yourself, along with the date it was made and Rebecca’s signature, the Greek letter ρ. Partly that’s honesty—you should be able to see what you’re holding—and partly it’s a reminder that a persun made this at her table, not a factory. If it looks a touch different from the photo in your light, that’s the marbling; no two are alike, and this one is the only one of its kind.
Prefer one without the magnet?
Dowsers, and anyone who likes their pendulum magnet-free, can have a custom one made. Email info@jollyalchemy.com with what you have in mind—colours, weight, a cord you already love—and Rebecca will roll one up for you. No pressure, as always; pass on by if it’s not your thing.
